    …Over the fields and down by the river, where Kepier farm still stands, there was, in the grounds, a huge orchard of different fruits. During the summer months we would raid the orchard. If we were on the outside trying to get the fruit then that was ok. However it was a different matter if we sneaked in and were spotted. The farmer would chase us and let his dog loose. On one occasion we were being chased and one lad tripped putting his foot down a wasps nest. We couldn’t get near him to help….Prints available
