  • “Yesterday At Spanish City”

..As a young lad, it always felt like being abroad whenever I got the chance to visit Spanish City. Usually by school trips. On rare occasions on a trip organized by my mother. It was bright, loud and just full of life. The dodgems, Waltzers and side shows all crammed into a small space. Things to buy and things to win. Candy floss and toffee apples, cowboy hats and goldfish. It’s great to see it being restored to former glory. While the fairground has gone, the dome remains an icon to the area..
